Things I Like Thursday: Juanita’s Tortilla Chips
OK, so I’ve eaten a corn chip or two in my life. But none compare to the dee-lish-us-ness of Juanita’s tortilla chips that you can ONLY find in the Pacific Northwest. If you lived in Northern California, you’d have to drive 30 miles just to get a bag!

I’ve discussed this with friends and we agree that if we had to move elsewhere, we’d ship ourselves cases of the stuff every other week. What makes them the best? Welp, they are local to Oregon, so they’re fresh. They are light ‘n krispy. They are salty. They are greasy. So, so deliciously greasy. And salty. Mmmm….. wait, what? *blinks*
Apparently my friends and I are not alone in our love for Juanita and her greasy, salty chips. I found some choice quotes on the Juanita’s website, so you can see that these aren’t ordinary chips we’re dealin’ with here:
“UNBELIEVABLE! I AM STRAIGHT ADDICTED TO THESE CORN CHIPS! I CATCH MYSELF TOTALLY DRIVING OUT OF THE WAY TO A DISTANT 7-11 ONLY ONE THAT CARRIES THEM, I PICK UP A FEW BAGS! LOL, THAN I HIDE THEM IN MY TRUCK NO TELLING ANYONE I HAVE THEM! IS THAT WRONG? SORRY,BUT EVERY TIME I LET SOMEONE EAT SOME THEY FINISH BY BAG AND WANT MORE! THESE ARE THE BEST CORN CHIP IN THE WORLD!!!!! DON’T EVER CHANGE PLEASE! THANK YOU FOR THEM, AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.”

Spoken like a true fan, Bret. I also found an amazing blog posting about someone and her newly-discovered love for Juanita’s, her pregnant cravings, and the hunt for the sometimes-elusive product. This woman’s obsession was so intense she bought 8 bags once she found em, for the following reasons, and I quote: “One to open right away, one for the gingerbread party, one for the wrapping party, one for the baking party, two for Christmas… okay I better throw in a few extra bags to be safe (I wouldn’t want to run out).”

I couldn’t agree with you more, anonymous tortilla chip blogger! I looked around for your name on your site but came up short! You shall remain nameless, but your love of tortilla chips has never been appreciated more by another person, ever, I can assure you!
So, before all you non-PWN’ers start crying intoyour bag of Santitas or Totinos or Tostitos or Mission Strips or whatever you’ve been forced to make do with all these years, fear not! You can order Juanita’s chips online! As many bags as you very well please! You’re welcome, and you know what I’ll be expectin’ at your next Cinco De Mayo party… get the Juanita’s, or no way am I coming.

ngl I just ate some Juanita’s and then tried to see if she has a facebook page. of course not, she’s busy making magic fucking chips.
